Trade Summary:
Chase Edmonds is ranked in the top-25 running backs this season, a position that the Cooper Troopers wanted to improve on before keepers are due. But Edmonds has the potential to be much higher than that. Now, between Edmonds and another top-30ish RB in Rashaad Penny, the Cooper Troopers have the ability to pick and choose matchups between both backs and Amari Cooper (without Watson) early in the season. Add in a first round pick (potentially B, and the Cooper Troopers have a nice bit of depth.
Edmonds is a great get for the Cooper Troopers, because it gives him maximum flexibility in the NFL draft. He can take QBs. He can take a 5th WR now, potentially a rookie who he could stash. And he can still take running backs, hoping to improve his RB2 in future years.
The Cooper Troopers are a clear title contender, not just in NFL, but in the entire League of Leagues next season. This NFL lineup (this season ranking) is no joke:
QB1 - Dak Prescot (QB10)
QB2 - Tua Tagovailoa (QB16)
RB1 - DeAndre Swift (RB8)
RB2 - Chase Edmond (RB25)
WR1 - Cooper Kupp (WR2)
WR2 - Rashod Bateman (WR28)

FLEX1 - Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR30)
FLEX2 - Amari Cooper (WR32) or Rashaad Penny (RB30)
On The BamO’s side, NBA picks are much-needed for them to compete this year. They also have other RBs like Melvin Gordon or Alexander Mattison they could keep instead of Edmonds. This trade does weaken their football team, but it improves their NBA team enough to be worth it.
Without a top-2 pick in NBA, Sam and Ez desperately needed these NBA picks to field a competitive roster. Bit by bit and step by step, the BamO’s are making moves to not come in last next year. And if Steph, Paul Goerge and Bam can stay healthy with an influx of 4th round picks (they currently have 3 of them), the BamO’s might not be so bad in NBA after all.
