Our week two slate has some juicy matchups as well. Other than one matchup which ironically has FanTrax projections as the closest game of the week, there are no matchups between teams that are further than 4 spots away on the Power Rankings. That means that this week has the potentially of really flipping the league on its head. In almost every matchup, a win easily puts you ahead of your opponent in the playoff race (and next week’s Power Rankings).
All that being said, there is only one matchup between 1-0 teams. That is the Cooper Troopers (1) and Ornery Otters (8) battling for supremacy in #Fhima’s Division with a WILD 283 point over/under this week. But Coop’s team (if healthy) is still tops in the league, win or lose. This also means that the only battle between 0-1 teams is in that same division – DTC Porkchop Express (6) and Wait ‘Til Next Year (10).
Other than that it’s a lot of 1-0 vs 0-1, which will create fascinating tanking/contending dynamics in weeks to come, just like Sporty Strauss and the Cooper Troopers took advantage of last week regarding their teams’ directions this season.

The BamO’s Advantage at 4/10 positions
Notes: There were two high-profile matchups between teams expected to be good right now. The first was Las Cabras (4) vs the SG Choppers (3). However, there is more at stake in $traight Cash Homies (2) vs The BamO’s (5). Both of the teams in this matchup are really banking on NFL being their primary competitive sport, particularly because their basketball teams are awful. $traight Cash Homie needs to be well on his way to an NFL BYE to feel comfortable loading up on more assets in NBA as the season progresses. And The BamO’s might be completely dead in the water if they let $traight Cash Homie (and probably the MN Moose Knuckles who play the 12th ranked tanking team) get off to a 2-0 start in the division. Being down 2 games at the start of the season could be a death knell for The BamO’s who might be on their way to last place with a start this cold.
Within this matchup itself, the depth belongs to $traight Cash Homie while the matchups belong to The BamO’s. Sam and Ez should be favored in this matchup due to those matchups. Wilson, Rodgers, Dalvin Cook, Aaron Jone, Josh Jacobs and the Browns D/ST are all SMASH plays this week while $traight Cash Homie has some tougher matchups for a few of his men.
But if this result doesn’t happen as projected with a Sam/Ez win, we are going to have a distraught couple of BamO’s who will be fighting for their lives throughout the rest of this season.
