  • SG Choppers (7) -1 vs Win’s Up Doc (9)

What an unbelievably loaded week 1 slate!! Every matchup is as juicy as Lucy, and there’s not a real stinker amongst these matchups

Well, no stinkers other than Las Cabras (5) vs The Pullies (11). Cabras have the best Week 1 lineup and Pullies have the worst, so that could be a blowout. Would be classic Pullies to start out the LoL season with a loss.

Beyond that, it’s going to be interesting to see who which teams are ACTUALLY top teams instead of who are just projected by commish to be. Anybody in the 4-8 range in the Power Rankings could easily cement themselves as a team to watch with a dub this week. That’d be Strauss, Choppers and Wait ‘Til Next Year that could really prove themselves with a victory. And lots of teams could show themselves as pretenders out of the gate.

$traight Cash Homie: Advantage at 6/10 positions
Sporty Strauss: Advantage at 4/10 positions

Notes: This is a massive week 1 game, not only for NFL as a whole, but for the ENTIRE League of Leagues SEASON as a whole. Both of these teams are projected as top-5 teams in season-long standings, and a divisional win this week sets the tone for what could become a rivalry over the stretch. These teams are relatively even. Top-5 D' matchups. No QBs beyond 18 on the week. Stellar WRs. Adequate FLEXes. It lacks primetime players (only Brady and Knox), but it should be fascinating to watch these teams duke it out Sunday afternoon.

MATCHUP OF THE YEAR (in Week 1)

Cooper Troopers (1) -8 vs Wait ‘Til Next Year (8)

FLEX1 – Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR29, PHI) vs JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR30, @ARI)
FLEX2 – Rashaad Penny (RB25, DEN - MNF) vs Kareem Hunt (RB32, @CAR)

D/ST – Broncos D/ST (D2, @SEA - MNF) vs 49ers D/ST (D1, CHI)

Cooper Troopers: Advantage at 7/10 positions
Wait ‘Til Next Year: Advantage at 3/10 positions

Notes: SUPRISE! An extra bonus matchup, and this is, quite literally, one of the biggest matchups of the entire year. These two teams are favored to finish first and second this year in season-long standings and both play in an NFL Division that is VERY winnable. The Cooper Troopers have more to gain and more to lose here, as they need an NFL success story far more desperately than Wait ‘Til Next Year. And the Cooper Troopers have the better team on paper, that’s for certain. But not all the matchups are particularly favorable, especially the QBs. Dak vs TB and Tua vs NE is a tough break in an important matchup like this, and Justin Herbert could return to his usual antics of singlehandedly winning games for Wait ‘Til Next Year. But the Cooper Troopers are still deeper than Kyle, and should have a great chance of dominating.

Also, this matchup features the top-2 defenses of the week. These teams came to PLAY, and the result will be spectacular. We’ll have lots of primetame players in this one too. Dak Prescott vs CeeDee Lamb on SNF. Cam Akers vs Cooper Kupp in the opener. DK Metcalf vs Broncos D on Monday. And potentially Rashaad Penny as Coop’s FLEX2.

Strap in, fellas… the season starts off with as much of a bang as what happened to Coop the night of his wedding.
