  • Las Cabras (3; 2-0) -10 vs Win’s Up Doc (11; 0-2)

One last week of divisional matchups before the meat of the season gets underway. And no matter what, we will have at least one undefeated team coming out of these three weeks, because $traight Cash Homie (2) and the MN Moose Knuckles (6) square off with supremacy of #NewNolo’s on the line. However, that isn’t the matchup of the week, because both teams are still well situated even with a loss. Surprisingly, the MN Moose Knuckles (with an optimized projection) are projected to be the highest-scoring team of the week. Hall has depth and good RBs. Don’t be surprised if he walks away victorious.

And if there is a matchup between 2-0 division teams, that also by necessity means that there is a matchup between 0-2 division teams. That low honor belongs to The BamO’s (10) and Sporty Strauss (12), each of whom have very underwhelming campaigns so far. And you would think that The BamO’s would be favored here, but this week’s matchups are a nightmare for Sam and Ez. Russ plays SF, one of the best defenses in the league. Rodgers (and Aaron Jones) play Tampa Bay, which probably IS the best defense in the league. Beyond that, Mike Evans got suspended for a games, so now The BamO’s might be forced to put two of AJ Green, Corey Davis and DJ Chark into his lineup. His saving grace, however, could be if James Conner sits out a game and he could plug Darrel Williams in. But if that’s your saving grace, you’re already in deep doo-doo.

Elsewhere, DTC Porkchop Express (9) went 0-2 in his division to the Otters and Next Year without even playing the superteam that is the Cooper Troopers yet. However, this looks to be as good a week as any do draw Coop with Swift still being banged up and very bad matchups by the quarterbacks. You should also not be surprised to see Craig pull that game out of his cheeks and resurrect his season.

There’s a lot at stake in Wait ‘Til Next Year (7) vs Ornery Otters (8) as well. Both teams are 1-1, and Kyle particularly wants to make sure his NFL team can get enough points for him to win the LoL title. The Otters are still caught in the middle, per usual.

D/ST – Patriots (D21, BAL) vs Rams (D9, @ARI)

SG Choppers: Advantage at 6/10 positions
The Pullies: Advantage at 4/10 positions

Notes: Let’s just put this out there now: The Pullies (5) are pretenders. There are good things about this roster to be sure – it doesn’t get better than their top-2 receivers and the QBs have been phenomenal so far – but there are SO many weaknesses on this roster that will get exploited as the season goes along. RB2 is very weak with Breece Hall not quite living up to draft expectations. And the FLEX is horrendous. Adam Thielen has clearly lost a step, but he and Jakobi Meyers both have good matchups this week. And The Pullies elected to KEEP Cole Kmet (bahahahaha!) who doesn’t have a catch so far this season, so TE is very bad.

The Pullies could still win this week. They could turn into this year’s version of the Choppers ‘21 season – a subpar team who got lucky wins and snuck in to the playoffs. But they are paper right now, and don’t expect the tiger to roar anytime soon. The only reason they are at 5 in the Power Rankings is that they sit at 2-0 in a weaker division. This isn’t a ringing endorsement of Pullies, but hey… this is the first time in LoL NFL history they made the ‘Matchup of the Week’ list, so that’s progress!

If The Pullies win, that would be devastating for the Choppers who have assembled a very good roster. There’s no clear weaknesses here other than maybe the FLEX options, which are still both better than his opponent’s. And the QB effect is real. The Choppers should stay in ever single matchup every single week with how good Hurts and Mahomes look. This is clearly one of the 4 best teams in the league, but that doesn’t mean he won’t fall off at some poin.
