NFL Week 13 Preview

Week 13 Matchups

  • Las Cabras (1) -31 vs MN Moose Knuckles (12)

  • DTC Porkchop Express (2) -8 vs Win’s Up Doc (8)

  • The BamOs (3) +4 vs The Pullies (10)

  • Shepherd Goods Choppers (4) +19 vs $traight Cash Homie (7)

  • Ornery Otters (5) -7 vs Sporty Strauss (6)

  • Cooper Troopers (9) -12 vs Wait ’Til Next Year (11)

All eyes on Choppers-Homies and Otters-Strauss. In fact, we’ll have TWO Matchup of the Weeks this week, because both games are equally important.

Outside of that, we have a lot of BYE positioning in both the NFL bracket and the consolation bracket. Las Cabras and DTC Porkchop Express could put themselves in excellent position for a BYE if everything goes as the game lines project, but Win’s Up Doc also needs to win to try to get a Consolation BYE against Craig. The BamO’s missed a start on Thursday, and are now not favored vs the upstart Pullies, who nobody wants to play in the consolation tournament. Last we have Cooper Troopers vs Wait ‘Til Next Year, a game that is solely about Consolation BYEs, which Coop probably doesn’t want anyways.

Should be a crazy week!

Week 13 Matchup of the Week (#1)
Shepherd Goods Choppers [8-4] (4) +19 vs $traight Cash Homie [6-6] (7)

QB1 – Patrick Mahomes (DEN) vs Kirk Cousins (@DET)
QB2 – ???? (?) vs Lamar Jackson (@PIT)

RB1 – Cordarrelle Patterson (TB) vs James Conner (@CHI)
RB2 – James Robinson (@LAR) vs Miles Sanders (@NYJ)

WR1 – Adam Thielen (@DET) vs Tyreek Hill (@DEN)

FLEX1 – Mark Ingram (3.3pts) vs Michael Pittman (@HOU)
FLEX2 – Jamison Crowder (PHI) vs Russell Gage (TB)

D/ST – Steelers (BAL) vs Ravens (@PIT)

Shepherd Goods Choppers: Advantage at 4/10 positions
$traight Cash Homie: Advantage at 6/10 positions

Jordan’s team is getting banged up at the worst possible time. While he coasted through most of the year with an easy-peasy schedule, things are evening out and the Choppers are in SERIOUS jeopardy of missing the playoffs. Even though the magic number is one, Dye could be looking at a situation next week where he gets a division championship (and maybe even a BYE) with a win, and completely misses the playoffs with a loss.

The Choppers play The BamO’s next week, and $traight Cash Homie plays The Pullies. Jordan’s playoff odds could lie firmly in the hands of The Pullies. Jack’s hands are in his own.

Week 13 Matchup of the Week (#1)
Sporty Strauss [7-5] (6) +7 vs Ornery Otters [7-5] (6)

QB1 – Tom Brady (@ATL) vs Matthew Stafford (JAC)
QB2 – Trevor Lawrence (ATL) vs DeAndre Hopkins (@CHI)

RB1 – Najee Harris (BAL) vs Jonathan Taylor (@HOU)
RB2 – Antonio Gibson (@LV) vs Damien Harris (@BUF)

WR1 – Brandin Cooks (IND) vs Chris Godwin (@ATL)
WR2 – Elijah Moore (@HOU) vs Terry McLaurin (@LV)

TE – Kyle Pitts (@JAC) vs Dallas Goedert (@NYJ)

FLEX1 – Tee Higgins (LAC) vs Van Jefferson (JAC)
FLEX2 – Jacob Meyers (NYJ) vs Jerry Jeudy (@KC)

D/ST – Dolphins (NYG) vs Buccaneers (@ATL)

Sporty Strauss: Advantage at 4/10 positions
DTC Porkchop Express: Advantage at 6/10 positions

Strauss had a heavy favorite situation last week and he blew it. Now, he’s the underdog and might have better luck in that role. It’s a tough draw for him without Davante Adams (or AJ Dillon). Usually, his WRs are as good as anyone’s in the League of Leagues, but the Ornery Otters WRs are dynamic. Strauss’ main hope, as is being reported, is that DeAndre Hopkins’ injury limits him in this game. Korey’s counter would be to play Goff against the Vikes or Glennon against the Dolphins. Either way, he’s kicking himself for leaving Tony Pollard on the bench on TNF.

The consequences of winning of losing this is clear: playoffs. While a win doesn’t clinch, the loser likely drops to the likeliest team to miss the playoffs with $traight Cash Homie being favored by so many points against the Choppers. Whoever loses is put in a position where they likely have to win in week 14 or the playoffs are gone. This should be a tight one.
