NFL Week 12 Preview

Week 12 Matchups

  • Shepherd Goods Choppers (1) -2 vs The Pullies (11)

  • Las Cabras (2) -12 vs Cooper Troopers (10)

  • Sporty Strauss (3) -31 vs DTC Porkchop Express (4)

  • The BamOs (5) -5 vs $traight Cash Homie (6)

  • Ornery Otters (7) -17 vs Win’s Up Doc (8)

  • Wait ’Til Next Year (9) +14 vs MN Moose Knuckles (12)

There are 3 HUGE matchups this week. The BamO’s and $traight Cash Homie could determine a playoff spot when it’s all said and done. Same with Ornery Otters vs Win’s Up Doc. But there’s one matchup that puts one team in jeopardy of missing the playoffs and another one in firm reach of a BYE.

There are some other interesting matchups too, however. The Pullies are only projected to lose by 2 to the top team. Cooper Troopers need to win to have a prayer at the playoffs. And Wait ‘Til Next Year’s team is absolutely BARREN this week, projected to lose to the lowly Moose Knuckles in a completely winnable game for Wait ‘Til Next Year. Losing to the Knuckles would end his playoff chances.

Sporty Strauss: Advantage at 9/10 positions
DTC Porkchop Express: Advantage at 1/10 positions

OUCH! This should have been a great matchup of the week, but DTC Porkchop Express is hitting the injury wall at a bad time – right at the start of DIVISIONAL PLAY. Craig went for a quantity over quality approach in the draft, and it’s largely paid off. Then he traded some depth for stud backs that are hurt. There is a chance Alvin Kamara can play this week, but on a short week against a non-conference foe, one can’t bet on that. As a result, there isn’t even a clear position in which Craig has an advantage over Sporty Strauss right now.

This is the type of roster construction that happens when you eschew top-end QBs for running backs, who are notoriously injured, particularly in a 17-game season. Craig didn’t nab any handcuffs either, so he’s just gotta hope and pray that his rookies overperform this week.

Crazier things have happened!
