(Tier 1) Sporty Strauss’ undefeated season is OVER, and Las Cabras have come to claim the top spot with a shrewd trade and a BIG-TIME victory over the #3 team in the power rankings. Las Cabras have now given themselves a solid 2-game cushion over the 3-seed. With 7 weeks remaining, it’s too early to hand them the BYE. But another win and a Choppers loss, and it might be wrapped up. It’s a big win for the Choppers. For Strauss, It’s a rule in this league that you drop at least one spot in the Power Rankings if you lose to the Pullies. But it’s okay. Strauss looks ahead to week 10 where he and Jordan square off in the battle for the other BYE.

(Tier 2) Luck has run out for $traight Cash Homie and the Shepherd Goods Choppers. Jordan is still in better shape than Jack, but he hasn’t had a QB on BYE yet. The Choppers desperately need to squeak out a few wins here and there before they fall down into the dense middle of this league where $traight Cash Homie is. With Lamar on BYE and only a 1-game lead over 4 teams with a 3-4 records, Jack is firmly in the danger zone of the season right now.

The BamOs are on the other the other side right now. The BamOs have actually had a remarkably consistent season, scoring around the 130’s without fail every week. They’ve just had the second toughest schedule, which means that things might open up for him. With games against the Moose Knuckles and Wait ‘Til Next Year the next several weeks, expect Sam to be in the playoff mix for the rest of the season.

The Cooper Troopers put an end to their heartbreaking 4-game losing streak, the last 3 weeks lost by a grand total of 6.8 TOTAL points. It’s a brutal beat that he corrected with a massive win over $traight Cash Homie. However, his schedule doesn’t get easier until the end of the season, so Coop is in for a dogfight the rest of the way.

A couple of teams jump up from Tier 3 to Tier 2. DTC Porkchop Express and the Ornery Otters have the same record as the 6-seed in the playoffs, and their squads are competent. This is shaping up to be an exciting race to the playoffs with 3 teams having a high probability of making it and 6 teams fighting for 3 playoff spots.

(Tier 3) Wait ‘Til Next Year is also in the category above: teams fighting for playoff spots. But the roster strength just isn’t there with CEH on IR. His QBs can still win him a few games down the stretch, but Kyle’s season isn’t looking as promising as it did two weeks ago.

The Pullies are on a bit of a run, and I’m sure they want to see if they can claw back in, especially only being 1 game out of the playoffs technically speaking. The Pullies aren’t out of this. They play either beatable teams down the stretch and/or teams that they can jockey for playoff position with. Losing to the Moose Knuckles dooms their season though.

Speaking of the Knucks, the last two teams really need to start thinking thinking about selling. It’s time. The MN Moose Knuckles are toast with 1 win and no long-term QBs. And Win’s Up Doc is in QB hell right now (but could change with a Deshaun trade). As predicted, QB issues have doomed the teams at the bottom of the league, and they need to find a way to correct that going forward.

Week 7 High Score

  • Ornery Otters (Korey)

  • 195 points

Notes: High score in both NFL and NBA! The season is turning around for Korey.

Week 7 Low Score

  • Wait ‘ Til Next Year (Kyle)

  • 84 points

Notes: His team was in rough shape this week, but losing by 110 points can’t be a good feeling. When Josh Gordon is in one’s lineup, you know things are dire. Kyle also didn’t even bother to pick up another TE instead of Waller.

Week 7 MVP

  • Alvin Kamara

  • DTC Porkchop Express (Craig)

  • 30 points

Notes: The Kamara trade is paying dividends for DTC Porkchop Express. Losing to the Moose Knuckles would have been the death of Craig’s season which is now given new life and a chance to compete for a final playoff spot.

Week 7 LVP(s)

  • AJ Dillon

  • Sporty Strauss (Strauss)

  • -1.7 points

Notes: “Butterfingers” Dillon had a rough game in a week where Strauss needed him most. With Lawrence on BYE, Strauss elected not to pay exorbitant prices for QBs.
