(Tier 1) What a WILD week. The top-3 teams all lost. The middle-4 teams all won. Then two more teams improved to 5-6, one game out of a the final playoff spot. There are 9 teams in contention right now, and it’s going to be a crazy ride to finish over the last three weeks of DIVISIONAL PLAY!

In Tier 1, it’s a jumbled mess for the first time all season. ANY of the 5 teams in Tier 1 could get a BYE. Also, any of the teams in Tier 1 could still MISS the playoffs (editor’s note: I was wrong about Las Cabras clinching the playoffs – if Coop wins out, and Las Cabras loses out, Coop is probably in).

It WOULD be really hard for the Choppers to miss the playoff with his schedule. Same with Las Cabras and The BamOs, but one of Sporty Strauss and DTC Porkchop Express will put himself in the danger zone in this week’s MATCHUP OF THE WEEK. The other puts himself in prime position to win a BYE over either the Choppers or Las Cabras.

(Tier 2) While everyone in Tier 1 should feel modestly comfortable about their playoff positions, Tier 2 is not the same story. If everyone in Tier 1 makes the ‘offs, that means there is only one more team that can sneak in. The Ornery Otters and $traight Cash Homie each have very similar odds to make the playoffs (between 64% and 55% respectively). The Ornery Otters team is probably slightly better, but $traight Cash Homie has the head-to-head and a slightly easier schedule. But Jack plays the BamO’s and Choppers the next two weeks while the Ornery Otters play DTC and Sporty Strauss in the final two weeks. Each of these teams only has one more easy game, but the Otters’ game against Oat this week also has massive ramifications (and Oat is no longer a pushover).

If Oat can win this week and $traight Cash Homie loses, Win’s Up Doc is right in the conversation for the playoffs. It’s still unlikely he makes it because his points output is so low, but he’s at least in contention. A loss doesn’t eliminate him either. Win’s Up Doc has a tough schedule, which is a double-edged sword. One, he plays tough teams and is likely to lose. But two, he only plays teams ahead of him in the standings. One of DTC and Sporty Strauss is going to lose this week, and Oat still has games on hand against both of them. Particularly Strauss beats DTC Porkchop Express, Oat has a shot to beat Craig NEXT WEEK and send the Porkchop Express packing. Win’s Up Doc would have two victories over DTC with a victory next week.

Wait ‘Til Next Year is in a very similar boat as Oatrick, but his schedule is easier. His points output just isn’t there to win any jumbled up tiebreakers. But Kyle does have Head-to-Head victories over Win’s Up Doc AND $traight Cash Homie. Kyle will be watching Korey to see if the Otters slip against the absolutely BRUTAL Nolo’s Division. If that happens, Wait ‘Til Next Year could easily slip into the Playoffs which would likely lock him in as the WINNER of the entire League of Leagues in the first year.

(Tier 3) This tier is out of the playoffs. For most, it is MATHEMATICAL ELIMINATION!!!!! Goodbye Pullies. Goodbye Moose Knuckles. We’ll talk about you again when the playoffs start. Until then, you’re dead to the League of Leagues. The Cooper Troopers do have a big game this week. If he can beat Las Cabras, he might have a chance to sneak into the playoffs. But Las Cabras would somehow have to lose to the Moose Knuckles and Wait ‘Til Next Year.

Week 11 High Score

  • Ornery Otters (Korey)

  • 172 points

Notes: It’s been a roller coaster season for the Ornery Otters. From low to high, the Otters are a team of oscillation. Last week they had the low score (which was very low). This week they are tops of the league (with an absurdly high score considering the QBs he had). It’s a tough team to pin down right now, but his shot at the playoffs looks good.

Week 11 Low Score

  • MN Moose Knuckles (Hall)

  • 97 points

Notes: It wasn’t a terribly low-scoring week for anyone, but MN Moose Knuckles are still at the bottom. And it’s a season-cementing loss for Hall, who now has no remaining hope. But who knows… football is lucky, and he can always string together a couple of wins in the Consolation bracket!

Week 11 MVP

  • Justin Herbert

  • Wait ‘Til Next Year (Kyle)

  • 35 points

Notes: AGAIN!? It’s never been seen in fantasy football where ONE PLAYER is shouldering team like this. It’s an absurd season for Wait ‘Til Next Year. Every time he has a chance to win a game, Justin Herbert has an outstanding game and gets him the dub. Now Kyle has an easy schedule and a chance to make the playoffs.

Week 11 LVP

  • Trevor Lawrence

  • Sporty Strauss (Strauss)

  • 8 points

Notes: We haven’t talked much about Trevor Lawrence this year and for good reason. He’s the 2nd worst starting QB in PFF’s grades. We’d be talking about him like a Zach Wilson bust if (a) Lawrence hadn’t had the college career that he did, or (b) his coach wasn’t Urban Meyer. But his coach in the League of Leagues is a great one, and Sporty Strauss has to feel at least a little bit uncomfortable with Tom Brady and Trevor Lawrence has his two QBs in a dynasty league.

This week was a winnable game for Strauss, and Lawrence’s bad play probably dooms him, at this point, to playing a Wild Card game based on Strauss’ end-of-season schedule.
