(Tier 1) The Shepherd Goods Choppers have finally commandeered the long-awaited top spot in the Power Rankings. Contrary to popular opinion, there is no curse associated with this ranking. Every team that has graced the top spot in NFL is in contention, though it’s very possible one of them doesn’t make the playoffs. But Jordan will. Jordan Dye all but clinches a BYE with 8 wins that includes a victory over $traight Cash Homie. The Choppers would have to go 0-4 the rest of the way with $traight Cash going 4-0 (including one game against Jordan) and the Ornery Otters going 3-1. Without those things happening, Dyeguy is in. So now his attention shifts to the BYE.

Las Cabras and Sporty Strauss are both in excellent playoff positions as well, but nothing is guaranteed. Las Cabras are in a slightly better position with an easier division schedule to end the season and Head-to-Head victories over the Cooper Troopers, Wins Up Doc, Sporty Strauss, Ornery Otters and, as of last week, $traight Cash Homie. As long as this team gets a couple of division wins, they’ll be fine.

Sporty Strauss is in a slightly more uncomfortable position, starting with this week. While Las Cabras plays a better foe, The BamOs, Sam has a higher playoff percentage no matter what. Sporty Strauss plays $traight Cash Homie, one of the teams tied for the last playoff spot. A win puts Strauss in a precarious position Strauss also plays a more difficult position with another game against the Ornery Otters on the schedule, giving the Otters a chance to win the tiebreaker, because Korey has more points on the season than Sporty Strauss. In general, Sporty Strauss’ tougher division schedule means there are no real easy weeks remaining on the schedule and Strauss’ BYE weeks aren’t over. It should be expected that the two BYEs will go to Las Cabras and Shepherd Goods Choppers.

(Tier 2) There were some big wins and big losses in Tier 2. DTC Porkchop Express and BamOs cemented their status as playoff probables, though things are far from over, especially considering that DTC has the toughest remaining schedule in the league, playing teams with a 24-14 record, starting this week with #Dye’sGuys. The BamOs schedule is brutal too (22-16 record), so there is still plenty of window for the next couple of squads.

$traight Cash Homie ALSO plays a ridiculous schedule (23-15 record) The Ornery Otters, on the other hand, have an easy two weeks before a tough last couple games of the season. They play the MN Moose Knuckles this week, the only ‘gimme’ in the League of Leagues. However, the Ornery Otters did lose to $traight Cash Homie, so if things are tied at the end, the Otters could lose out. And the Otters’ roster is in rough shape. Matthew Stafford is on a BYE this week, so Jared Goff is his only starter at QB making a gimme win against the MN Moose Knuckles not so easy. There is no team in the entire league in more desperate need of making a trade right now than the Ornery Otters.

(Tier 3) Most of the relevant Tier 3 intrigue will be written about at a later time, but Wait ‘Til Next Year took a huge loss this week in a winnable game. But Kyle still isn’t done yet with the EASIEST schedule left in the league (15-23 record). Kyle plays both The Pullies and the MN Moose Knuckles the next couple of weeks, and should be .500 with two weeks left to play.

The Pullies and the MN Moose Knuckles are ALMOST mathematically eliminated from, which could happen to both teams this week.

Week 10 High Score

  • Las Cabras (Trevor and Jordan)

  • 150 points

Notes: Las Cabras, after a mini skid, picked a good week to return to dominance. They, along with the SG Choppers, are now the favorites to win the NFL portion of the League of Leagues

Week 10 Low Score

  • Ornery Otters (Korey)

  • 80.1 points

Notes: How’s the “Jared Goff or receivers at Superflex” experiment going for Korey Koob? Not well! Korey, more than any other team in the league, is in desperate need to make a trade to improve at QB and potentially RB2. Receivers are the most inconsistent players in fantasy sports. The Ornery Otters desperately need players in the lineup to provide counterpoint consistency to his squad.

Week 10 MVP

  • Patrick Mahomes

  • Shepherd Goods Choppers (Jordan)

  • 37 points

Notes: This wasn’t a particularly thin margin, but Patrick Hamhomes’ dominance is a nice omen for Jordan going forward. It was a 25 point win, and Mahomes had about 37 points, giving Jordan a massive edge towards a BYE.

Week 10 LVP(s)

  • Matt Ryan

  • Wait ‘Til Next Year (Kyle)

  • -1.4 points

Notes: No MVP for Justin Herbert this week, just an LVP QB standing next to him. This is one of the most painful LVPs in the entire year with Mason Rudolph and Mac Jones sitting on Kyle’s bench. Starting either of those options would have given Wait ‘Til Next Year a win over Craig, and a better than 50-50 chance at the playoffs.
