NFL Draft Day Trades (9/21/21)

Wait ’Til Next Year trades $15 of NFL budget

to

The BamO’s for $25 in NBA

@Ooms trade grade: A++
@BamO trade grade: D

Trade Summary:
A football asset, like auction budget, is so valuable because it can be used to trade for assets in all 3 sports. @BamO can’t get a true F grade, because he might be able to trade football players for NBA players and MLB players later in the season. That being said, NBA assets are probably the most valuable, because those careers last the longest and are the most projectible. @Kyle sets himself up well to dominate NBA for a long time.

Wait ’Til Next Year trades $10 of NFL budget

to

DTC Porkchop Express for $20 in MLB budget

@Ooms trade grade: B
@Craig McCall trade grade: B-

Trade Summary:
A more even trade here. @Craig McCall was able to maneuver around the auction a bit more to pick up an extra QB or two and solidify his football keepers. Baseball is two sports away, and is the most random. I’m not convinced $20 in MLB is the same as $20 in other sports.

Wait ’Til Next Year trades $5 of NFL budget

to

The Bam0s for $5 in NBA budget and $10 in MLB budget

@Ooms trade grade: A
@BamO trade grade: D+

Trade Summary:
If it felt like @BamO really maximized these $$’s in the draft, this might make more of a difference. @BamO was able to scoop up Mike Evans for cheap at the end of the draft, otherwise this deal would look like a disaster. He wouldn’t have been able to spend any of his $5. Kyle gets to a maximum of +$30 in basketball and +$30 in baseball.

Win’s Up Doc trades Josh Jacobs and $5 of MLB budget

to

DTC Porkchop Express for Calvin Ridley

@Pat mcgonagill trade grade: A++
@Craig McCall trade grade: F

Trade Summary:
Can’t believe this trade happened. Calvin Ridley is ranked 22nd in dynasty superflex rankings. Josh Jacobs is down at 65. @Craig McCall is calling his shot on Josh Jacobs, but a 33-spot rankings differential is a tough pill to swallow for ONLY $5 of MLB BUDGET. I’ll bed @Pat mcgonagill would have given up significantly more MLB BUDGET if @Craig McCall had pushed harder. Or some draft picks. Something is missing in this trade, but @Craig McCall gets his guy, and @Pat mcgonagill gets one of the steals of the draft.

The Pullies trades $5 of NBA budget

to

DTC Porkchop Express for Gus Edwards

@Peter/@Eric Herm trade grade: F
@Craig McCall trade grade: A+

Trade Summary:
More budget trading! This time, a 12th round pick in the recent draft (Gus Edwards) goes for $5 of NBA BUDGET, which is roughly equivalent to a 5th round pick in the NBA start-up draft. That's a home run for @Craig McCall. (edited)
