(BYEs) They might not be the #1 seed, but Las Cabras (2) are officially the favorite team to win the NFL portion of the League of Leagues. They have the top-2 QBs. They have good RBs in Javonte and Montgomery who are coming into their own. And they have 4 dynamic young receivers, Deebo, Claypool, Hollywood and Mike Williams. Oh, and they have a little tight end named George Kittle who has gone bananananananas the past couple of weeks. It’s an excellent squad, and they will be favored against anyone.

The BamO’s (1), at this point, are just happy to have a BYE and a #1 seed on the side of the bracket that avoids the top-2 teams in the League of Leagues. The BamO’s are probably would be 3rd or 4th on the strength of their roster, but they could get an excellent draw down the stretch. Notice a common thread here – they are also led by two top QBs, but The BamO’s have Dalvin Cook, Josh Jacobs and potentially Melvin Gordon at RB – great options, especially if Dalvin Cook continues his improved play. WR is solid – Evans, Diontae and the x-factor: Julio Jones who could be an improved player down the stretch. TJ Hockenson mans the TE position when healthy. This roster is good, but it’s not to the level of Las Cabras or the next team below.

(PLAYOFFS) DTC Porkchop Express (3) has the best non-QB roster in this league. Kamara. Mixon. Aaron Jones. DJ Moore. Keenan Allen. Devonta Smith. Jaylen Waddle. Pat Freiermuth. Yet his quest to find a solid QB was thwarted every step of the way, and he’s saddled with Ryan Tannehill and Jimmy G. He’ll need to find a way to win without an excellent QB. Luckily, he’s staring down a bad QB on the other side of the ledger.

Sporty Strauss (6) is his opponent, but Trevor Lawrence almost tanked his season. Tom Brady, however, was one of the steals of the draft, providing clear QB1 production for a team that needed it. He’s weathered some injures at RB to Antonio Gibson and worse to Chris Carson, but that position in ballasted by Najee Harris. AJ Dillon’s snap counts also continue to rise. At WR, it’s the Davante Adams show, but he could use a bit of reinforcements there. Higgins and Cooks are fine, but he could use more firepower against DTC Porkchop Express. This is a battle of rookie TEs with Pitts vs Freiermuth – a fun little anecdote in a battle between stellar teams.

The Ornery Otters (4) are another deserving playoff team, headlined by fantasy MVP Jonathan Taylor. Who cares if you don’t have a reliable Superflex when JT’s on the squad. He’s cleaned up a lot of roster problems. Stafford is a good QB, but Korey’s RB2 (Harris, Hubbard) is weak. And he has injuries at the WR position despite immense depth. Hopkins – banged up and disappointing season. McLaurin – concussion protocol. AJ Brown – still on IR this week. It’ll likely be Godwin, Hopkins and Jeudy lining up outside for the Otters with Hubbard and Harris also in at RB2 and FLEX. Luckily, he gets a practical BYE playing one of the 3 worst teams in the league right now.

That’d be the Shepherd Goods Choppers (5), whose roster is in downright shambles. QB is great! Mahomes and Hurts. Cordarrelle is an excellent RB/WR, but it’s rough beyond that. It’s looking like a mix of James Robinson (yuck right now), Hunter Renfrow (solid), Cole Beasley (safe yuck), Jamison Crowder (super yuck) and Dontrell Hilliard (holy yuck!) in his lineup if Adam Thielen doesn’t come back. Thielen is MNF, so unless Jord makes a trade for a KJ Osborn, Darnell Mooney or Allen Robinson, he’s without the great white hope. No matter what, the Otters should be heavily favored going into this matchup.

(CONSOLATION BYES) It’s heartbreak for $traight Cash Homie (7), but his NBA team was likely to tank his season anyways. Now, he can begin looking forward to next season and make some moves this week accordingly (if he isn’t too heartbroken).

It’s a different story for Win’s Up Doc, who is perfectly content with a Consolation BYE. His team isn’t in amazing shape right now, however, with an Ekeler injury and an uncertain Carolina QB situation. No Calvin Ridley return expected either. Oat might need to make a shrewd move or too, like the Mooney trade, to try to get himself back into contention. But hopefully he just draws a terrible team in round 2 and it won’t matter.

(CONSOLATION PLAYOFFS) ¾ of these teams are in rough shape, each with a significant hole in the roster. But not The Pullies (12). It’s amazing this team is the 12-seed, especially with this run to end the season. They have a weak FLEX2 and TE, but the rest of their team is more than solid.

They play Cooper Troopers (9) who aren’t a disaster either, but his RB position couldn’t be worse right now unless DeAndre Swift comes back. Cooper should think about trading a QB for some position player goodness if he wants to not have a last-place punishment.

Wait ‘Til Next Year got the dream draw of the playoffs – the MN Moose Knuckles. The Knucks have the worst roster in the league, but he did strike gold with Taysom Hill. His QB matchups aren’t terrible, so there’s no reason he can’t beat Kyle this week.

These Consolation matchups ARE important for season-long, so don’t take your eye off of them!

Week 14 High Score

  • Las Cabras (Jordan/Trevor)

  • 175+

Notes: The LA-ARI game isn’t done by the time this is written, but it’s another dominant performance by Las Cabras. This is what the league needed to see before crowning him the favorite – some late-season consistency. Las Cabras have the roster, the upside, the baseline… they have everything, and it’s expected for them to take home 15 points in NFL. Unless DTC Porkchop Express has anything to say about it.

Week 14 Low Score

  • Shepherd Goods Choppers (Jordan)

  • 89+ points

Notes: Another low score from the guy. This is just what he wanted – a string of lowest scoring weeks to end the season to build MOMENTUM for the playoffs. It’s a bit of a downer since the CMC and Thielen injuries, removing Jordan from true contention. It would have been a fun surprise.

Week 14 MVP

  • Davante Adams

  • Sporty Strauss (Strauss)

  • 30 points

Notes: It looked like Mike was dead in the water… before Davante Adams put on a show on MNF, dragging Strauss to victory. What a ride it must have been. And for Strauss’ favorite player to do this when he needed it most. This is what fantasy is all about, and Strauss will remember that moment forever – a last-second ride into the playoffs.

Week 14 LVP

  • Lamar Jackson

  • $traight Cash Homie (Jack)

  • 1 point

Notes: It’s unfair to put injured players on this list, but this game is the exception. The odds Jack wins with a full game from Lamar are pretty high, and it’s just a sickening feeling for him to lose the 12-seed with the playoffs on the line. You feel bad for him really, and it’s not the way you want things to go down.
