Tier 3
12- The Pullies (21 points) [-3]

Note: The ‘points’ next to the team are an aggregate ranking of each team’s starting positions. If you have the best position group in the league, you get 12 ‘points.’ If you’re the worst, you get 1. Because TE isn’t as valuable, only the top-6 TE teams were ranked and given points 6-1. These points are only a guideline, however.

Tier 1

1- $traight Cash Homie

In Tier 1, all six (!!!) teams up top look relatively equal, all things considered. Each have their strengths and their weakness. After trading for Damien Harris and Tony Pollard, whilst keeping his first-round pick, $traight Cash Homie (1) is putting himself at the top of the league. He has a top-3 QB situation, a top-3 WR situation, the best Flexes in the league, and something that no other team has – basically 11 keepers with Davis Mills as a great QB3 option. After the draft, he might go down spot or two depending on what some teams do, but he’s the team to beat right now.

QBs

  • Lamar Jackson (QB4)

  • Kirk Cousins (QB15)

  • Davis Mills (QB27)

RBs

  • James Conner (RB15)

  • Miles Sanders (RB26)

  • Damien Harris (RB27)

  • Tony Pollard (RB31)

WRs

  • Ja’Marr Chase (WR3)

  • Tyreek Hill (WR9)

  • Michael Pittman Jr. (WR13)

  • Joshua Palmer (WR73)

TEs

  • Dawson Knox (TE10)

2- The BamO’s

The BamO’s (2) are only not #1 because they don’t have a 1st round pick. Compared to any sport, however, this is the one Sam could use one, because the WR cupboard is pretty bare behind his (great) top-2 of Mike Evans and Diontae Johnson. Sam has a loaded RB room and some good vet QBs, so he’s fine right now. But he needs some reinforcements at wideout.

QBs

  • Russell Wilson (QB10)

  • Aaron Rodgers (QB12)

RBs

  • Dalvin Cook (RB5)

  • Aaron Jones (RB9)

  • Josh Jacobs (RB22)

  • Chase Edmonds (RB30)

WRs

  • Mike Evans (WR7)

  • Diontae Johnson (WR15)

  • Michael Gallup (WR52)

  • Quez Watkins (WR106)

TEs

  • TJ Hockenson (TE7)

3- Sporty Strauss

Sporty Strauss (3) is the defending champion, and he hasn’t fallen off much. Tom Brady staying in the NFL saved him, and he needs Trevor Lawrence to play much better this season, but he’s good at the top of both his RB position and his WR position. He needs a little bit more depth and a solid flex, so he’s a team that could see a spike up this ranking with a win-now rookie draft pick who shows signs of life in the preseason.

QBs

  • Tom Brady (QB9)

  • Trevor Lawrence (QB18)

RBs

  • Najee Harris (RB6)

  • Antonio Gibson (RB19)

  • AJ Dillon (RB25)

WRs

  • Davante Adams (WR5)

  • Tee Higgins (WR11)

  • Elijah Moore (WR28)

  • Kadarius Toney (WR47)

  • Amari Rodgers (WR124)

TEs

  • Kyle Pitts (TE3)

4- Cooper Troopers

Next is the Cooper Troopers (4) who have my favorite roster build in the entire League of Leagues. Even though he traded a QB away, he still has a dynamic top-2 of Dak and Tua, both of whom have upside. Then he has one great RB (Swift) and an RB-2 that he found out of nowhere that should produce (Penny). Then he has 4 good-to-great WR options that will start every week for him as well as Travis Kelce. He has his first two picks and will be looking to find some RB and QB depth as well as maybe another flex-worthy starter.

QBs

  • Dak Prescott (QB8)

  • Tua Tagovailoa (QB16)

RBs

  • D’Andre Swift (RB8)

  • Rashaad Penny (RB32)

WRs

  • Cooper Kupp (WR1)

  • Amari Cooper (WR22)

  • Rashod Bateman (WR27)

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR31)

  • Dee Eskridge (WR121)

TEs

  • Travis Kelce (TE1)

5- Las Cabras

Last in Tier 1 is Las Cabras, who might be a surprise ranked this low. But that’s how the math shook out. They are tied for tops in the league at the QB position, but the rest of the roster is quite a bit overrated (this season). Javonte Williams will be a star, but Melvin Gordon still blocks his production. His other RB, Montgomery, is stuck on one of the worst offenses in the league. The WRs seem great in theory, but Deebo’s role is uncertain. It’s the FLEX position that really drags them down, because the #2 flex choice between Rhamondre Stevenson and Chase Claypool sounds very unspectacular. Like Sporty Strauss, Las Cabras could jump up in these rankings with an NFL-ready WR like Treylon Burks or Chris Olave that shows day 1 promise.

QBs

  • Josh Allen (QB1)

  • Kyler Murray (QB5)

RBs

  • Javonte Williams (RB12)

  • David Montgomery (RB16)

  • Rhamondre Stevenson (RB37)

WRs

  • Deebo Samuel (WR10)

  • Mike Williams (WR21)

  • Marquise Brown (WR22)

  • Chase Claypool (WR47)

TEs

  • George Kittle (TE5)

  • Adam Trautman (TE27)

6- DTC Porkchop Express

DTC Porkchop Express is also ranked slightly slower on the points scale, but they have some extra draft assets that should be taken into consideration. The big question here is whether or not Alvin Kamara gets suspended (Kamara is being ranked like he is). If he does, this ranking is appropriate. If he doesn’t or Craig takes an early Strauss Pick and ends up with Breece Hall, he probably jumps up these rankings.

QBs

  • Trey Lance (QB13)

  • Ryan Tannehill (QB21)

  • Zach Wilson (QB22)

RBs

  • Joe Mixon (RB7)

  • Alvin Kamara (RB14)

WRs

  • Keenan Allen (WR10)

  • DJ Moore (WR14)

  • Jaylen Waddle (WR16)

  • Devonta Smith (WR35)

  • Brandon Aiyuk (WR40)

TIER 2

Tier 2 is fascinating. In this group are a few teams who are going to really be gunning for first place next season. You’d expect Wait ‘Til Next Year, Win’s Up Doc and the Ornery Otters to be relatively all-in.

7- Wait ‘Til Next Year

Wait ‘Til Next Year needs to improve this ranking more than any other team. He’s try to do just that by adding DK Metcalf via trade and stashing injured players like Cam Akers and JuJu Smith-Schuster last year. Now, he just needs to put it all together. Mainly, he needs to pray that either of his Joneses perform and that he lands a top rookie performer. He could easily make the playoffs, which would be a great first step towards winning an LoL championship.

QBs

  • Justin Herbert (QB2)

  • Daniel Jones (QB23)

  • Mac Jones (QB24)

RBs

  • Cam Akers (RB18)

  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB28)

  • Kareem Hunt (RB29)

WRs

  • CeeDee Lamb (WR6)

  • DK Metcalf (WR19)

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR32)

  • Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR75)

  • Jaelen Raegor (WR104)

TEs

  • Darren Waller (TE5)

8- Shepherd Goods Choppers

The Choppers are just too reliant on QBs and RBs right now. The trick is that’s generally GREAT for win-now teams. The main problem with this roster right now is that there are really only 9 keepers, because James Robinson is out for the year. If the Choppers want to compete, they should be targeting (in trades) another WR to flex or maybe at least a TE that could free his draft up to load up on dart throws at positions of need. He has a tiny bit of extra NFL draft capital, so this is an appropriate ranking for Dye.

QBs

  • Patrick Mahomes (QB3)

  • Jalen Hurts (QB5)

  • Jared Goff (QB26)

RBs

  • Christian McCaffrey (RB2)

  • Ezekiel Elliott (RB16)

  • Devin Singletary (RB33)

  • James Robinson (N/A)

WRs

  • Brandin Cooks (WR20)

  • Hunter Renfrow (WR37)

  • Rondale Moore (WR57)

9- Win’s Up Doc

We all know what this ranking comes down to, and it’s not a huge surprise – Deshaun Watson’s suspension. If it’s for the rumored 8 games, this team is still in big trouble becasue there are probably TWO(!!) suspended players currently. The Ridley suspension hurts his flexibility.

Right now, Win’s Up Doc HAS TO be the favorite to land or trade up for Kenny Pickett, the only rookie QB who has a chance to start day 1. If not, look for him to add a crappy journeyman QB with his 2nd round pick.

QBs

  • Justin Fields (QB17)

  • Deshaun Watson (QB29)

RBs

  • Austin Ekeler (RB3)

  • Saquon Barkley (RB12)

  • Travis Etienne (RB21)

  • Elijah Mitchell (RB23)

WRs

  • Courtland Sutton (WR21)

  • Darnell Mooney (WR26)

  • Tyler Lockett (WR36)

  • Dyami Brown (WR105)

  • Calvin Ridley (N/A)

TEs

  • Tommy Tremble (TE38)

10- Minnesota Moose Knuckles

The Moose Knuckles made some really solid moves this offseason, and he still has an extra first-round pick. So while this ranking is very low, this team isn’t a disaster anymore. Even though there’s 4 WRs being kept on this squad, there should be a receiver or two in the draft that could step up day-1 to give Hall a boost. This is another prime Kenny Pickett landing spot as well. The reason this team is quite a bit lower is that it’s keeping two TEs – one of the least valuable positions in all of the League of Leagues. They are good ones, however, but they need to perform like WRs to give the moose knuckles a chance to compete.

QBs

  • Derek Carr (QB14)

  • Matt Ryan (QB19)

RBs

  • Derrick Henry (RB4)

  • Nick Chubb (RB10)

  • Eno Benjamin (RB93)

WRs

  • Allen Robinson (WR24)

  • Gabriel Davis (WR29)

  • Christian Kirk (WR41)

  • Robert Woods (WR43)

  • Devin Duvernay (WR113)

TEs

  • Mark Andrews (TE2)

  • Dalton Schultz (TE6)

11- Ornery Otters

The Otters are the hardest team to rank in NFL, and this system of rankings does them no favors. They are employing a very interesting strategy – completely shirking the RB2 position. It might not be a terrible option. The problem is that it boxes him in for the draft. He’s going to have to take darts at RB all over the draft board where there could be excellent WR talent out there. Still, he’s going to start the season without Chris Godwin or DeAndre Hopkins for extended periods of time. He’s really relying on all 7 healthy players on his roster to be excellent, in which case he still needs two starters. So the biggest factor in his success is a player who was the best WR in the league only a few years ago – Micheal Thomas. If MT returns to form, this team vaults up quickly. And then it’ll be even higher when reinforcements arrive. RB2 is the second best position to ignore in LoL, so that’s why he’s not in Tier 3. But if JT gets hurt, it might be time for a tankapalooza.

QBs

  • Matthew Stafford (QB11)

  • Jameis Winston (QB20)

RBs

  • Jonathan Taylor (RB1)

WRs

  • AJ Brown (WR12)

  • Terry McLaurin (WR18)

  • Jerry Jeudy (WR24)

  • Michael Thomas (WR29)

  • Chris Godwin (WR31)

  • DeAndre Hopkins (WR38)

  • Van Jefferson (WR63)

TEs

  • Dallas Goedert (TE8)

12- The Pullies

The positioning of The Pullies on this list shows you exactly what we think of this squad – by far the worst keeper situation out there. That being said, it could be worse. Adam Thielen is a respectable flex this season, and The Pullies will certainly be taking NFL with their first Strauss Selection. That player will immediately be inserted into the lineup as a starter.

The trick is that the 10th keeper is so awful. OBJ probably won’t play this season, and The Pullies might just end up keeping Gus Edwards if Dobbins is on the PUP. Kmet is an acceptable options – he’s only ranked 1 spot below Freiermuth on the regular season rankings – but TEs just aren’g great keepers in general.

QBs

  • Joe Burrow (QB7)

  • Carson Wentz (QB25)

  • Baker Mayfield (QB28)

  • Drew Lock (QB33)

RBs

  • Leonard Fournette (RB11)

  • JK Dobbins (RB24)

WRs

  • Justin Jefferson (WR2)

  • Stefon Diggs (WR4)

  • Adam Thielen (WR34)

  • Quintez Cephus (WR107)

  • Ihmir Smith-Marsette (WR155)

  • Odell Beckham, Jr. (N/A)

TEs

  • Cole Kmet (TE12)
