(CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) For almost the entire year, Sporty Strauss and Las Cabras were 1 and 2 on the Power Rankings. Sporty Strauss was in the top-three of the Power Rankings in 13 out of 15 rankings (!!!), including being #1 a record 6 times. Las Cabras ranked in the top-three 12 times, only due to a faulty early-season Power Ranking by Commish. They were ranked #1 three times, including the last two weeks of the season where the team really hit its stride.

On top of that, both of these teams are coming of of EXPLOSIVE Week-2 playoff performances. They are lucky they didn’t play each other, or else one of these teams would have had a terrible beat.

When it’s all said and done, this is THE MOST fitting championship game. These teams drafted most competently. They made moves throughout the season to improve their stock, and they got the right amount of luck at times during the season. They’ve earned their spots, but you don’t get here without a smile or two from the fantasy gods.

(3RD-PLACE GAME) The BamO’s and Shepherd Goods Choppers are in rough shape. Both are now bottom-4 teams in NBA and making the championship game was the best way for them to give themselves a real chance to compete. Even still, the 10 points that they get in this 3rd place game are still crucial to give themselves a chance to get 3rd or 4th place this year. That being said, The BamO’s need it more. As a mortgaged team, they need all the points they can get.

(CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP) Don’t look now, but the Cooper Troopers are the Dark Horse in the League of Leagues right now. With an improving NBA team and an NFL squad that could win the Consolation Team, this team has given itself a great chance to sneak back into the conversation.

Wait ‘Til Next Year is far from a dark horse, but this championship game is huge for him. He’s had to battle each week in the Consolation Tournament, and he’s happy to get the minimum of 5 points that came with those wins. But every point counts, and he’s continuing to battle.

(9TH-PLACE GAME) What a great draw for Win’s Up Doc in the horrible QBs bowl. $traight Cash Homie won’t have aQB this week, and Doc wants to make him pay. While Doc is certainly disappointed that he didn’t win last week, getting 4 points isn’t nothing.

Playoffs Week 2 High Score

  • Sporty Strauss (Strauss)

  • 139

Notes: What a performance. He even did this a player down with 0 points from Tyler Johnson. The BamO’s had no chance with a 39-point performance from Tee Higgins. Now he gives himself a chance to beat Las Cabras.

Playoffs Week 2 Low Score

  • Shepherd Goods Choppers (Jordan)

  • 99 points

Notes: A week after a great performance, his team finally let him down. There are some injuries all over this week for the Choppers, but he didn’t stand a chance anyways with Las Cabras performance.

Playoffs Week 2 MVP

  • Nick Chubb

  • Minnesota Moose Knuckles (Hall)

  • 27 points

Notes: The MN Moose Knuckles’ best player delivered when duty called. To prevent himself from being last-place in the NFL portion of the League of Leagues, Hall had his second best week of the season against The Pullies last week. In fact, his two best games of the season were against the hapless, horrible, last place Pullies.

Playoff Week 2 LVP

  • Nyheim Hines / Mike Davis

  • The Pullies (Peter/Eric)

  • 2.3 / 4 points

Notes: These running backs encapsulate The Pullies’ season. Mike Davis was one of the worst picks in the draft, and they overcorrected by trying to get players like Nyheim Hines that provide little production. With a 40-point performance from Joe Burrow, The Pullies had a decent shot to win this week, but their RBs let them down as always.

Round 3 Matchups

  • CHAMPIONSHIP: Las Cabras (2) vs Sporty Strauss (6)

    • 3rd-Place Game: The BamOs (1) vs Shepherd Goods Choppers (5)

    • Consolation Championship: Cooper Troopers (9) vs Wait ’Til Next Year (10)

    • 9th-Place Game: $traight Cash Homie (7) vs Win’s Up Doc (8)
