  • MN Moose Knuckles (2) 121pts OVER DTC Porkchop Express (11) 103pts

  • Wait ‘Til Next Year (5) 149pts OVER The Pullies (6) 138pts

  • Win’s Up Doc (10) 146pts OVER $traight Cash Homie (2) 124pts

(Tier 1) The Cooper Troopers (1) officially have some company up top. The MN Moose Knuckles (2) have ridden a fortuitous schedule to a solid 4-0 start with a 2-game lead over any other team for a BYE. While Hall might not have the BEST team, it is very good at all positions on the field. QB is the obvious position he could use help at, but Kenny Pickett has just arrived. Had we known Pickett would be the starter going into week 5, Pickett surely would have gone higher in the draft. And now, without even losing any of his first 4 games, the MN Moose Knuckles can slide their new QB1 down the stretch.

(Tier 2) $traight Cash Homie (3), SG Choppers (4), and Pullies (6) all LOST this past week while either staying in the same place or moving up a spot in the Power Rankings. This is because Las Cabras (7) also lost and suffered a potentially devastating knee injury to their stud RB, Javonte Williams. With Javonte going down right as he was getting going, that ensured a 4-point loss for Las Cabras, a matchup that surely would have been a win had Javonte not gotten hurt. Now, without their top-2 RBs, Las Cabras are a shell of their former strength. There are still good players on this roster, and Josh Allen could lead them to victories. But Las Cabras might be on the outside looking in as the season marches forward. Their 4-point loss to the Cooper Troopers might prove to be the most devastating L in the League of Leagues this year.

But the Choppers’ .3-point loss to Sporty Strauss (8) is still up there for all-time bad losses too. The Choppers, Las Cabras and Pullies all remain tied at 2-2 for the division lead in the #Shepherd Goods, and it will be interesting to see when someone starts gaining some separation here.

Wait ‘Til Next Year (5) would be a bigger story at 3-1 had the Cooper Troopers lost. But alas, Wait ‘Til Next Year is still a game and a half behind the Cooper Troopers for the #Fhima’s Division lead, and Coop still has a 60-point advantage on the season. It bears watching whether Kyle can push Cooper for the division, but right now, Wait ‘Til Next Year gets lumped in the middle of the good yet not great middle class of the league. Still, beating the Pullies always feels good.

(Tier 3) Sporty Strauss (8) is 2-2 and should not be written off. With Dak coming back in short order, Strauss could actually become a contender again, believe it or not. Lawrence and Dak looks like a good-to-great QB pairing this season, and there is still talent on this roster. However, he’s still in a soft tank mode and can’t honestly be put into Tier 2 without another win or two (and more points scored).

Win’s Up Doc (10) stays at 10 with his win over $traight Cash Homie, one of the better rosters in the league. For Doc, this is all about staying afloat until Deshaun Watson can return. His team improves at that point, but he still has Saquon Barkley running the show until then. Win’s Up Doc (10) is pretty dang good for a 10th team on the Power Rankings.

And DTC Porkchop Express (11) is pretty dang good for an 0-4 team. It’s a tough beat for Craig who is probably forced into tank mode sooner rather than later. The schedule isn’t getting any easier either with $traight Cash Homie on the docket this week. The season is slipping away, and hopefully the Porkchop Express can capitalize by building for the future.

And the Ornery Otters (12) really are the team best suited to rebuild for the future. With Stafford and Winston as his only QBs, it’s time for the Otters to put some assets together for a long-term option at that position as well as tank for Stroud or Young. The Otters are not built to win this year, and all it will take is a few tweaks to get his team ready for ‘23/’24 contention. No more middle for the Otters.

But all things considered, the NFL field is still wide open. Anybody can make one trade to get yourself back into contention, but the top of the league still looks daunting to take on.

Week 4 High Score

  • The BamO’s (Sam & Ez)

  • 186 points

Notes: The BamO’s (9) are back and are only one game out of a playoff spot. All things considered, this is really not the worst Tier 3 of all time, because The BamO’s were the #12 team last week and then scored the most points of the week. Sam and Ez still have a long road to go, but the arrow is pointing up. Now, they have tough choices to make as to whether or not to add reinforcements to an aging, veteran roster.

Week 4 Low Score

  • Ornery Otters (Korey)

  • 85 points

Notes: The Ornery Otters might be given a gift – a bad record. Instead of just sitting in the soft middle of the league like is usually GM Korey’s MO, the Ornery Otters could benefit greatly from a tanking season. Here are players teams should think about targeting on the Ornery Otters’ NFL and NBA squads:

  • Matthew Stafford (QB, Rams)

  • Jameis Winston (QB, Saints)

  • Zach Ertz (TE, Cardinals)

  • Michael Thomas (WR, Saints)

  • DeAndre Hopkins (WR, Cardinals)

  • Tyler Boyd (WR, Bengals)

  • Russell Westbrook (PG, Lakers)

Week 4 MVP

  • Cooper Rush

  • Sporty Strauss (Strauss)

  • 18 points

Notes: Instead of going to the top player of Sporty Strauss’ narrow victory, this goes to the most necessary player. Sporty Strauss spent all $100 of his budget to pick up Cooper Rush and it paid off. Strauss likely would have lost without his 18-point performance.

Week 4 LVP

  • James Robinson

  • SG Choppers (Dye)

  • 2 points

Notes: One of #Dye’sGuys, this is a tough pill to swallow. For a second year in a row, he’s been a great pick for Dye, but he let him down in this game. Another measly 4 yards and the Choppers would have won. Tough beat.
