(Tier 1) WHAT is going on!? These standings are the craziest through any 3-week stretch that one could imagine. There are an absurd eight (!!!!) 1-2 teams. Only two undefeated squads. And two 2-1 teams.

Wait ‘Til Next Year will stay at the top spot until proven otherwise. They are still second in total points with the potential for the Kyrie boost and excellent management.

While The Pullies and Win’s Up Doc 3-0 intra-divisional starts are certainly impressive, these teams aren’t without fault. The Pullies are only 5th in points, and their division is a disaster. But that just means they have a huge head start towards making the playoffs in the NBA and should be ranked appropriately.

Win’s Up Doc might be the top-ranked team if it weren’t for the injury bug. Not even the Doc can keep his team healthy as Michael Porter Jr. is out for the “foreseeable future” with a back injury. Porter has been underwhelming anyways, as Oat has been ballasted by an absurdly competent snake draft and perhaps the deepest roster in the entire league despite taking reach draft picks at times. Depth is king in this league, and it’s an impressive start.

(Tier 2) Tier 2 is even more difficult to decipher. DTC Porkchop Express is ruling the underworld of luck right now. He finally caught a break last week by NOT playing the top-scoring team of the week, and was rewarded with a win. He’s high in points scored, and should be a competitive team all season.

The MN Moose Knuckles made a trade that sapped them of some depth, but it didn’t matter against Wait ‘Til Next Year. It was a big victory for Hall, one that might be able to keep him competitive throughout the season. The Ornery Otters seem like a middling team that will be competitive in every single week, but might not stack up enough victories throughout the season. The Otters and Moose Knuckles hold the 6th and 7th highest point totals, firmly in the middle.

Next is a trio of disappointing teams. Sporty Strauss is getting crushed by Ben Simmons’ mental health (and hatred of 76ers) woes, but Paskal Siakam is returning shortly to give him a much-needed boost. Strauss could climb these rankings in short order, and he’s lucky to have a win so far.

The BamOs are 3rd in points, and aren’t actually all that disappointing. But you can’t lose to $traight Cash Homie. That is firmly unacceptable, especially because Sam wasn’t particularly rigorous in setting his lineup and he left a lot of points on the bench. His trade should help his squad, but he might need more help.

The Shepherd Goods Choppers are the most disappointing team of the season so far. They are 3rd to last in points despite rigorous draft scouting, and the depth is pitiful. It’s not a team unable to turn it all around, but Jordan needs a move or two to regain some glory.

(Tier 3) Even Tier 3 doesn’t look so bad right now. With eight 1-2 teams, ⅔ of the league is tied for the last 3 playoff spots. It’s an absurdity, and it makes every game immensely interesting. Las Cabras are hit hardest right now, losing Collin Sexton for a long while. They were 5th lowest in points, but now need to find a way to hang in throughout the beginning portion of the season.

The Cooper Troopers are just scoring too low to be taken seriously, and losing to the Cabras doesn’t bode well for his future.

Week 3 High Score

  • Win’s Up Doc (Oat)

  • 1451 points

Notes: 2nd straight week that Win’s Up Doc dominates the stat sheet. We’ll see if that continues with a few injuries.

Week 3 Low Score

  • Cooper Troopers (Coop)

  • 1074 points

Notes: Ouch, Coop. There is too much talent on this team (Lillard, Mobley, Harden) to be performing this poorly.

Week 3 MVP

  • Myles Turner

  • $traight Cash Homie (Jack)

  • 171 points

Notes: A dominant week from Myles Turner gives Jack his first victory. He wouldn’t have been anywhere close without 4 huge games from the big guy.

Week 3 LVP(s)

  • Gorge Dieng

  • The BamOs (Sam)

  • 19 points

Notes: With Jalen Brunson and Steph Curry sitting on the bench, Sam instead started Gorge Dieng who scored 19 points in 4 games. This move absolutely bailed out Jack’s entire season, as he had no place being competitive if Sam had simply set his lineup. Without first round picks, The BamOs are going to need to stay active every day to dig himself out of this hole.

Week 3 Matchups

  • Wait ’Til Next Year (1) vs Sporty Strauss (7)

  • The Pullies (2) vs Ornery Otters (6)

  • Win’s Up Doc (3) vs Shepherd Goods Choppers (9)

  • DTC Porkchop Express (4) vs Las Cabras (11)

  • MN Moose Knuckles (5) vs $traight Cash Homie (12)

  • The BamOs (6) vs Cooper Troopers (10)
