Current Season-Long Power Rankings

Tier 1
1- Sporty Strauss (22 points)
2- Win’s Up Doc (18 points)

Tier 2
3- Las Cabras (18 points)
4- The BamOs (13 points)
5- Wait ’Til Next Year (13 points)
6- DTC Porkchop Express (16 points)
7- Minnesota Moose Knuckles (14 points)
8- Ornery Otters (13 points)
9- The Pullies (10 points)

12- $traight Cash Homie (4 points)

(Tier 1) It’s officially a 2-horse rase. Sporty Strauss (1) and Win’s Up Doc (2) look closer and closer every week to even odds right now. Strauss gets the edge, because, he has 4 more points, which is significant when you break it down. But Win’s Up Doc took the first game over Sporty Strauss and just looks to have a stronger MLB team. If Win’s Up Doc can win baseball, all he needs is for Sporty Strauss to finish get 3rd in order to claim the top prize. If Win’s Up Doc gets 2nd, he needs Sporty Strauss to finish 5th or 6th place in order to tie or win. However, Win’s Up Doc really needs to finish 1st or 2nd to claim the victory unless Sporty Strauss misses the playoffs.

All eyes are on these fryers right now.

(Tier 2) The Las Cabras (3) baseball team looks rough, but they still have a chance to compete for season-long points. It’s just going to take a little bit more work. The Tatis injury hurts, and they currently have 8 (!!!) IL-eligible players. The roster is a shell right now, and they are going to have to claw tooth-and-nail to stay afloat. They’re a bottom-3 MLB team right now, and that would doom them. But they are tied for 2nd in points currently and simply have more margin for error.

In general, Tier 2 is really hard to project early in the MLB season. The BamO’s (3), Ornery Otters (7), and Pullies (9) are off to strong MLB starts, boosting their odds of placing 3rd or 4th in season-long. And Wait ‘Til Next Year (4) and the MN Moose Knuckles (7) are off to poor starts, muddying these waters significantly. During next month’s Season-Long Power Rankings, we’ll have a much firmer grasp of these squads

DTC Porkchop Express (6) is here by virtue of being 4th in season-long points coming into the MLB season, but he took a tanking approach to the draft and doesn’t seem to be the most concerned with winning. However, his MLB team doesn’t look like a disaster, and there’s a chance he rattles off more wins than expected, including Week 1.

(Tier 3) The Cooper Troopers (10) MLB team doesn’t look too shabby, taking advantage of a weak MN Moose Knuckles start to begin banking some wins. His division doesn’t look very good, and he might have lucked into a situation in which he doesn’t get last place.

Right now, odds might be higher that the Shepherd Goods Choppers (11) get last place than Cooper, because that MLB team looks like a farce so far.

If $traight Cash Homie (12) has a competent season, he should be able to catch Dye, though a 9-point gap is too much to overcome. Jack would need to get 3rd in MLB to pass Dye, so $traight Cash Homie is a SIGNIFICANT betting favorite to be last place in the first year of the League of Leagues.

Current Projected Standings (with MLB):

  1. Win’s Up Doc (33 points)

  2. Sporty Strauss (30 points)

  3. The BamO’s (23 points)

  4. The Pullies (22 points)

  5. Wait ‘Til Next Year (22 points)

  6. DTC Porkchop Express (21 points)

  7. Las Cabras (20 points)

  8. MN Moose Knuckles (19 points)

  9. Ornery Otters (17 points)

  10. Cooper Troopers (15 points)

  11. Shepherd Goods Choppers (13 points)

  12. $traight Cash Homie (7 points)
